Buffalo Hunt
Information

Deposits - We only require a non-refundable $100 deposit to reserve your hunt,
with the balance to be paid at the actual time of the hunt
Liability - We require a signed liability release (provided by us) for all
hunters and participants booked with Sandhills Outfitters
The Hunt - We strive to provide the utmost in ethical and fair chase hunts. All
our stalking is done on foot with a guide. A reasonable amount of physical
fitness is required for our archery and muzzleloading buffalo hunts. We will do
our best to work around any health or physical issues that you may have. Please
advise us of any special dietary restrictions also.
Field Dressing and transport to Meat Processing Locker - We will field dress and
transport your buffalo to our meat processing locker at no charge.
Caping - is available at the processor
Weights - range from approx. 600 lb yearlings to nearly a ton for the trophy
bulls
Archery, Crossbow, and Muzzleloader hunts - Our guide is a long time archery
hunter, firearms instructor, and is Nationally certified in muzzleloading . We
will do our best, within the realms of safety, to put you in position for a
humane harvest, utilizing the wind, topography of the land, and our knowledge of
the buffalo's habits.
Lodging - All our hunts include 3 days and 4 nights lodging in a modern log
cabin situated on our private fishing pond, all meals are included, breakfasts
are continental.. We also have an 18 feet tipi for the more adventurous type.
Head, Horns, and Hide - are included with all hunts at no extra charge
Meat Shipping - we can arrange shipping of meat to your home if you are flying
in

Our "season" for booking purposes runs from Sep. 1 thru March 31, which is when
we can hunt pheasants also for the combo hunts.
. Although we can book buffalo hunts at any time of the year, we use this
"season" as our age indicator for the buffalo

Sandhills Outfitters special buffalo and pheasant
package "COMBO HUNT"
Includes 3 days and 4 nights lodging in our modern log sided cabin with meals,
one yearling heifer buffalo hunt, a 1/2 day fully guided pheasant hunt on our
private CSA hunting ground using our own German shorthair pointers, bring along
an extra person for free (they are eligible to hunt pheasants with you but their
bag limit must contribute to the 3 bird bag limit for a total of 3 birds between
the two hunters, field dressing and transportation of the buffalo to the
processing plant, and free fishing in our cabin pond, all for only $1550.
(A resident hunting permit and habitat stamp is required for pheasant hunts, Non
residents need an $11.00 CSA non-resident permit and also a habitat stamp, these
fees are not included in the package)
