The Hamiltons are your congenial Sandhills hosts, and run a working cattle and buffalo ranch located in the Sandhills of north central Nebraska, in Holt County. The Hamilton Ranch is located approximately 12 miles southwest of the small town of Stuart, in Green Valley. This serene area has remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years and is the transitional zone between the lush, green hay meadows, sloughs, and ponds, to the rolling, vast, and majestic Sandhills. These were the original native home to the buffalo, and were also a communal hunting ground for some of the Plain's Native Americans, including the Omaha, Ponca, and Sioux. The bison are free ranging in our sandhills pastures which provides for a tasty, nutritious, and low cholesterol meat.

The Hamilton Ranch is home to an array of wildlife including turkeys, deer, the Canada goose, ducks, coyotes, and more. We strive to better the wildlife habitat and numbers on the ranch through efforts such as the planting of food plots, creation of safe zones, construction of nesting habitat, and a good overall management and conservation plan.

Our guides are all experienced hunters who fully understand the ethics and traditions of the true sport of hunting, whether it be with traditional bows, self bows, blackpowder muzzleloaders, or modern centerfire rifles.

The silhouette of a yucca and the blazing orange rays of the sun as it casts it's long shadows on the sandhills vastness at sunset is true nature's beauty that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
